on Wednesday 18th September. The event starts at 19:00.
Want a safe space to explore a new look? Want to let your alter-ego rule for an evening? Just love playing dress-up?
Hear ye, hear ye- Sober Queers is throwing a magical fantastical incredibly unserious soirée of fashion, makeup, art, and play at Cloak! The Dressing-Up Box is less of a workshop and more of a space- a mystical realm curated with love where the main objectives are exploration, safety, self care, and being a silly goose. Everyone becomes part of the art just by showing up.
We'll have starter wardrobe stations provided by the hosts for you to pick and choose from across size, gender, and aesthetic including jewelry and accessories, and the otherworldly talented Vincent doing makeup. Feel free to bring any of your own hard-to-style pieces to play with as well! The optional itinerary entails introductory affirmations and discussion, then on to dressing-up, a mini interpretive portrait class from Leila, and finally, a dance/social with lovely mocktails all throughout the evening.
Key note:
The starter wardrobes consist of cherished pieces the hosts are happy to share for the evening- please remember to treat each piece with care and return them before you go!
As always money should not be a barrier to community, so let us know if you need a comp ticket.
