ROWAN AND FRIENDS is the musical project of the Coventry-born, York-based singer-songwriter Rowan Evans. It began as a monthly night for Rowan to play some of his hundreds of songs with his friends at the pub. But it quickly transformed into a band of varying sizes, including members from fellow York bands Perspex and Bull. Present core members are Ollie Howland, Tom Gabbatiss, Adam Holmes and Jack Woods. They have played Rowan’s songs up and down the country supporting acts such as Junior Brother, Personal Trainer, and The Wave Pictures.
Myer U Clark is a Bristol-based singer-songwriter and a melody fanatic. An obsessive of old English folk tunes and PC Music equally, he has a penchant for the emotional and the absurd; especially in folk and theatrical musical environments. With conscientious vocals overlaid on intricately fingerpicked guitar melodies, his work has drawn comparisons with that of artists like John Martyn and Nick Drake.
Trans-Siberian Express are local legends, famed for being a sound engineer's worst nightmare expect unnecessary harmonicas and perhaps a surprise appearance from a didgeridoo.
Bring some spoons for rattlin and some socks for stompin.
