A gig held at The Cloak and Dagger on Friday 12th November. The event starts at 19:00.

PHAT Bristol are delighted to welcome you to The Cloak & Dagger to present the unstoppable force that is Alexander Canwell, alongside newcomers Aether Valentine & Tom Ramsbottom...

Expect a potent mix of acoustic delicacies, shimmering piano and absolute pandemonium...all wrapped up in a nice big PHAT Bristol hamper....just the thing to get you through a cold November night!

ALEXANDER CANWELL - Self-proclaimed musical ponder-noggin and dancing heathen ALEXANDER CANWELL somehow manages to combine tender acoustic melodies, bitingly insightful social comment and a barrel load of chaotic energy...and boi oh boi does it work!
Alexander was one of the headline acts at our recent PHAT Bristol open mic showcase at The Exchange (with his "leccy set...as in bangin it with his digi box") and everyone was left bouncing and smiling after his show.
Combining the irrepressibly infectious power of punk, the heart-stopping magic of folk and a genuinely delightful demeanour, ALEXANDER CANWELL is a man on a mission...and it's one you don't want to miss!

AETHER VALENTINE - After making an exigent name for herself at our weekly PHAT Bristol open mic, AETHER VALENTINE is rapidly expanding that reputation across the Bristol music scene and is sure to be a staple name on many a line-up in the near and not-so-near future.
Aether is as equally stupendous when delivering gossamer piano compositions as she is when exposed with only a microphone for an ally, with her spoken word creations regularly bringing the most raucous of audiences to a stunned, silent standstill.

TOM RAMSBOTTOM - A relative newcomer to the Bristol music scene, TOM RAMSBOTTOM quickly made a stark impression on us here at PHAT Bristol, his original acoustic material brings a wholly accessible enthusiasm with a wholesome truthfulness. Tom is adept at engaging with the audience in between his songs, able to drift between heartfelt stories of his life and humorous anecdotes of being a father, a musician and a wanderer. We're very excited to welcome him to the Friday night stage for his first full gig in Bristol...we assure you that it won't be his last.

Tickets are £7 and available through our lovely friends here at Headfirst Bristol, who we love, as they are an intrinsic part of the Bristol scene and make it so much easier for event organisers and musicians to help provide platforms for others to prosper.

At PHAT Bristol we firmly believe in supporting up and coming artists and providing them with a platform to showcase their immense talent, so we always pay our acts, which means you know that your money is going to a good place! We're proud to say that all the acts we have sourced for this evening's entertainment have come through the doors at our open mic, and been elevated to perform at a full Friday night event. Please come and show some love and support, and help keep live music alive!

Food will be available from the delicious kitchen at The Cloak & Dagger, where Chef Seb and his team create masterful plates for your dining pleasure. Booking is advised if you would like to eat before the event, as they are often fully booked. PLEASE NOTE all food bookings must be made by contacting the venue directly.
