A event held at The Cloak and Dagger on Monday 1st May. The event starts at 19:00.


Explore the mortality of life, futility of pleasure and the certainty of death through symbolism and observational drawing.
Each session will have various tables set up with visually interesting curiosities, flowers, fruits and everyday objects.
Come along meet other artists, have a draw and a cuppa while you study the decay of organic matter up close and personal.

Vanitas is the allegorical style of art form the 16th-17th century that uses the symbolic meaning of objects to explore the vanity of life and the ephemeral nature of all things through the passing of time.
Spend an evening contemplating the macabre and wonderful world around you.
Study the decomposition of surfaces in colours, tones and textures in a variety of mediums for you to play around with.

Every other Monday upstairs in the Parlour
7pm-9pm

Limited materials provided feel free to bring your own as well as any specific objects you might wish to draw.
