Ludwig Wright at The Cloak and Dagger

A gig held at The Cloak and Dagger on Sunday 16th April. The event starts at 19:30.

“Even the pauses were great.” Richard, audience member after a show

Ludwig Wright is a British German songwriter, poet and performer putting with self-penned sing-along melodies Rock ’n’ Roll into Folk. Musically, he is the child of Elvis Presley and Joni Mitchell. From his father he got the dazzling stage presence and the charming smile. His mother gave him the tender fingerpicking and his strong, clear voice. Effortlessly he mixes musical styles and travels between the British and German singer-songwriter and folk scenes, having played over 200 concerts. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and will make his debut at the Rudolstadt Festival in Germany this year.

Besides touring, Ludwig Wright is currently working with the producer and composer Micki Meuser (Ina Deter, Silly, Die Ärzte, Nervous Germans) on his third album “Turn of Tides”, which will be released in summer 2023. The first single “Heaven and Ocean Blue”, due in April, will set the tone. It captures romantically the longing for the sea. He says: “For me Oceans and deep waters are simply magical.” They were the sources of inspiration for this album. “Additionally, I’ve always felt this profound ‘Sehnsucht’ for the sea.”
