Come join us for a playful and informative décor and set design workshop focusing on the effects that can be achieved with lighting and recycled waste materials.
The workshop will involve a short presentation looking at established décor artists and designers who use simple creative techniques to ignite the imagination of an audience creating awe striking scenes to express the mood and tone of a live performance.
We will discuss health and safety looking at methods of attachment, use of flame resistant spray and how to curate art works safely in an event environment.
You will then have an afternoon to work together to design and create an immersive set of your choice with accompanying lighting, simple stage props and signage.
Giving you the opportunity to network and collaborate with other events artists and makers to design, plan and install décor for the purpose of live events and get some documentation for your portfolio.
Although this workshop is free to attend donations towards materials are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
