Tidal Tales Collective will be bringing their performance 'Stars and Sales' here to the Cloak and Dagger with two showings on both the 25th and 26th May.
Stars and Sails is a collaboration with audio-visual tech designer Bea Wilson, musician Jack Salt and director Emma Callander.
A bold live show exploring the importance, power and vulnerability of the sea through design and sound. We share local stories and songs alongside those of other countries, exploring the commonality of all people, our interwoven history and our reliance on the health of our planet.
Featuring local sea shanties, ancient world music, global folk stories, and historical sea farers. Using the layers of a loop station along with live vocals, puppetry and storytelling.
Design is centered around junk modelling, using marine detritus to create costume, props and sets with repurposed sails.
The play is suitable for everyone but recommended for 5+
