simmcat is the project of Italian, but Copenhagen based, visual artist and songwriter Simona Catalani.
Her world is a homage to the natural melancholy forged by memories, creating an ethereal imagery between sound and visual boundaries. After the release of the EP Soy Milk in 2020, simmcat came out in 2023 with the debut full length I Thought I Was Dreaming, via We Were Never Being Boring Collective, expanding her inspiration to a suspended visionary state, typical of a dream-pop reminiscent of Mazzy Star.
