Sebastian Plano at Colston Hall Foyer
See event details

A gig held at Bristol Beacon Foyer on Saturday 9th November. The event starts at 20:30.

Born into a musical family in Argentina, contemporary composer and multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Plano started honing his own musical identity at the age of 12. Since then, he’s become synonymous with the likes of Ólafur Arnalds, Sigur Rós and Nils Frahm thanks to his talent of combining traditional, classical tendencies with modern electronic soundscapes. Bonded to his Yamaha CP-80 piano, Plano’s work takes the instrument to mystical landscapes, where he demonstrates the “real scope of his imagination, and emotional power” (Clash). With new album ‘Verve’, Plano continues to push the constraints of the classical genre, creating a sprawling, hypnotic experience.
