A
gig
held at The Lantern
on Friday 10th June. The event starts at 20:00pm.
Frank Fairfield is a sensation: a banjo picker, guitarist and fiddler like no other. His soaring ballads, ranging from rambling hillbilly melodies to dark, murderous folklore, are delivered in his distinctive reedy tenor with an utterly irresistible American Primitive quality.
Having taken a break from the international touring scene, we are honoured to see Frank return to the UK with a unique new show alongside the Scottish folk singer and gifted collaborator Alasdair Roberts. These two deeply rooted musicians bring to life murder ballads and epic journeys, tracing the mythic through the songs of their native lands.
This unique and specially curated show is not to be missed.
