Stars of the Lid have come along way since their humble beginnings as mix-tape trading friends during the early 90s. Taking influence from minimalists such as Arvo Paärt and nestling themselves alongside the likes of Ambient innovator Brian Eno, they embark on their latest tour to premier new material alongside studio collaborator Francesco Donadello, Robert Donne, the Echo Collective string ensemble, as well as bringing along a Moog Modular System 55 synthesizer too. New material provided by the “drone legends” (Mark Richardson, Pitchfork) after a 9 year hiatus will be an invigorating experience for any listener.
