Room 237 returns to the disused mortuary in Bristol’s Old Coroners Court, welcoming Speedy J to his Room 237 debut. The Electric Deluxe head honcho needs very little introduction... Together with Laurent Garnier, Aphex Twin and Richie Hawtin, Rotterdam’s Speedy J has helped define Techno since 1991 with albums like Ginger, G Spot, Public Energy No. 1 and Loudboxer – spearheading labels like Plus 8, Novamute and Warp. His latest projects span the audio-visual pioneer work of Umfeld, his label and associated events series, as well a forthcoming album in the works.

In support, we welcome back Roman Lindau, who decimated the Room 237 at The Island for his Bristol debut last year, with a new EP ‘Strange Brew’ (Second State) now under his belt.

And for the first time in the city, we welcome CW/A (aka Clockwork and Avatism). With an impressive CV both together and individually, their latest album ‘Words Unspoken, Acts Undone’ captured our attention with its cross pollination of style and rhythm above and beyond the techno template. Their upcoming ‘Ringleader’ EP forthcoming on 28th October is set to raise the bar even higher.

Support on the night comes from Room 237 resident, Black Amiga, with Visuals by Dual
