KATEY BROOKS
“A once-a-generation talent” Henry Yates (NME, Guardian)
A rebellious artist that resists formula, the ‘powerful’ (Evening Standard) award-winning singer, songwriter & producer Katey Brooks brings a seamless blend of Americana and Folk to listeners’ ears, which has earned her radio play from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, 6music, Canada’s CBC, Jazz FM, and Amazing Radio amongst many others.
No stranger to the stage, Brooks has toured in the US, Australia, Canada, Europe and the UK. She has shared bills with artists like Cat Burns, Nick Mulvey, Newton Faulkner, and Yola, as well as playing big name festivals such as Glastonbury, WOMAD, Paralympics, the Australian National Folk Festival, and several BBC Introducing stages, to name a few.
HOW DARE SHE
How Dare She is an all-female band based in the South West of England. Combining catchy originals and carefully curated covers, expect everything from love songs to twisted tales. With a line-up of raw acoustic guitar, bass/keys and stunning harmonies, you might place them somewhere between The Staves, Laura Marling and First Aid Kit. Unafraid though they are of dark themes, the warmth and fluidity in their delivery has you smiling, nodding along and settling into their laid-back acoustic vibe.
Tickets on Eventbrite.
