Sam Tudor + Laura Reznek + Anwen at The Crafty Egg (Fishponds)
See event details

A gig held at The Crafty Egg (Fishponds) on Saturday 10th May. The event starts at 19:00.

Over from across the pond for one night only is the incredible Sam Tudor, joined by friends Anwen and Laura Reznek for a night of indie folk goodness.

Sam Tudor is both an individual and a project involving a group of friends in Canada. The underpinnings of the songs are genre-less; jazz players join forces with Eno inspired beats while acoustic guitars meet distorted synths. What unifies the project is Tudor’s distinct voice: a sandy, melancholic narrator, leaning in close with confessional and cathartic writing. The band’s live show is reverent and at times bombastic - a celebration of community done with an easy virtuosity born from years playing music together.

Laura Reznek is a Canadian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose smoky soprano and piano-driven songs give life to a cast of characters you might not always want to meet.

Anwen is a London-born singer songwriter living in Bristol as a student. Blending jazz, folk and indie music to create her own unique sound, Anwen writes about friendship, nature and love. Her debut single 'Song for Friends' is out now.
