Assembly of Words: A New Literary Night in Bristol

Assembly of Words: A New Literary Night in Bristol at The Crafty Egg (Fishponds)

An event held at The Crafty Egg (Fishponds) on Thursday 8th October. The event starts at 19:00.

Assembly of Words is a new free literary night in Bristol, created by writers Tiff and Livio in collaboration with @nakedeyes and @circularartspace.

We wanted to create the kind of literary event we’d want to go to ourselves: relaxed, welcoming and open to anyone who loves words.

Expect an evening of poetry, short stories, extracts, books and conversation, with a mix of emerging and published writers sharing their work.

Our readers get 12 minutes each – a little longer than a traditional open mic slot – giving them space not only to read, but to talk about their work, the ideas behind it and themselves as writers.

And you absolutely don’t have to be a writer to come.

You can grab a drink, settle in and listen, discover new voices, meet people and enjoy an evening centred around writing and storytelling. There’s no pressure to perform or participate

Assembly of Words is about making literature feel social, accessible and part of the community – whether you write every day, haven’t written anything since school, or simply love hearing a good story. The Crafty Egg, Fishponds, Bristol Thursday 8th October 6:30pm arrival for 7pm start Free entry

Come for the words. Stay for the conversation.
