Return of the Funky Disco!!!

Community Disc-O's is back to The Crofters Rights on Friday 8th September for the eleventh in their infamous Disco parties.

Expect local selectors spinning some of the finest in classic and rare Boogie and Funk records for you to bust out your fancy footwork and get your groove on!

For this edition, CDO has enticed local collector and DJ, FIDRA, to join in the Disco frenzy...

Raised in Scotland but coming of age in the South-West, FIDRA (aka Hector Combe) is a Bristol-based DJ who’s been collecting Jazz, Funk and Soul since he can remember. From up-tempo disco and organic 70s funk, to dirty 80s electro and boogie, he brings forward a special focus on pulsating, energetic dance music and hopes to turn the spotlight on past and future classics with some lesser-known selections thrown into the mix. A regular face at local record fairs, FIDRA soon exposed his natural charm and discerning musical tastes to fellow diggers and has been spotted playing tunes at a Funk-led exercise class and recently spinning boogie on a DIY system around the Bristol Carnival weekend. This will be rare opportunity to catch him for an extended evening session in the club, do not miss!

Alongside, resident Community Disc-O's man ADMIN will also be in on the Funk. Prepare yourself for a night of boogie bangers and soulful stompers.
