A
gig
held at Crofters Rights
on Saturday 23rd October. The event starts at 19:00.
After our 'dreamy' trip to an Ireland based recording studio (Stereonotmonorecords), we bring you our first headline show at The Crofter's Rights with support from the wonderful A Curious Plenty, and the mighty BLK FXS.
Part Time Models
- Think the folky side of Fleetwood Mac. Times that by 5, divide by 7 and add some soft rock. You’ve reached the heartfelt lyrics and intricate three part harmonies of the Part Time Models. This five piece now based out of Bristol draw on their influences such as Angus & Julia Stone, Johnny Flynn and Lucas Nelson to help you settle down and relax
BLK FXS
- Championing their influences from the golden eras of music, BLK FXS present the
perspective of perseverance and positive action within a sweet, soulful funk based,
banger. Expect nothing less than to dance and be enlightened.
Based in the south west of England, in the culturally rich city of Bristol, BLK FXS have
already began to shake the scene with their word-of-mouth pop up gigs, spontaneous
busking habits and prestigious live music collaborations. It is apparent and evident to see
BLK FXS are spear heading a musical/cultural renaissance.
A Curious Plenty
- A Curious Plenty is the new project of Steve Hunt (Bonneville Sound, Stereo
Not Mono)
With a fluid mix of players and collaborators, Hunt captures a raw, vulnerable
memory of childhood, love and loss and the ever present references to growing
up in Thatcher’s Britain as a child in a stripped back live performance. He is currently
recording A Curious Plenty’s debut Album, due for release in 2022.
With influences ranging from Gavin Clark to Daptone’s Charles Bradley, Motown
to The Band, this will be Hunt’s first outing as A Curious Plenty.
