See event details

A gig held at Crofters Rights on Saturday 26th March. The event starts at 19:00.

PHATBristol are excited to bring you the single launch show for Marshfire by Goya.

2021 was a breakthrough year for GOYA, seeing them perform their first live performances. Their five shows within the year were all sold-out headline sets, including playing to a packed house in Sheffield as part of the Tramlines Fringe, and a roadblock event at The Crofter's Rights in October. They have started 2022 as they mean to go on, performing to yet another full house at The Stable, where the crowd were as rapturous as always. GOYA have built a firm following of their own but also have that treasured ability to captivate and entice new fans at every show, or with every listen.

Their new single, "MARSHFIRE" is an irresistible cocktail of jazz, funk, soul, dub and hip-hop grooves, as the band go in a more expansive direction following the more traditional feel of their debut EP. "MARSHFIRE" will be released in early 2022 and will be followed by several further releases in the first half of the year, as the band look to continue amassing momentum within Bristol and to further spread the word up and down the country and across the globe.

Funk and Disorderly- A rising star in the Bristol scene, Funk & Disorderly channels the city’s contemporary jazz sounds into a unique sound world. His music effortlessly blends the warmth of 90s hip-hop, afrobeat and 60s Blue Note with sprawling downtempo rhythms and hard-hitting beats. His debut release 'FNK' features some of Bristol's finest up-and-coming musicians including Lyrebird, and Tiny Chapter of Waldo's Gift. In collaboration with Snazzback wizard Chris Langton, his live show brings a fiery night of originals and reinterpreted golden-age classics.

Semper- SEMPER is a brand new project of some of Bristol's finest improvising musicians. Drawing influence from the sounds of Bristol's contemporary jazz scene, mixing hip-hop, breakbeats and other club styles with jazz improvisation, their music combined skilful playing with danceable grooves and complex lines.

Tickets are £8 in advance.
