Pontes De Ritmos, meaning Bridges of Rhythm in Portuguese, is an idea formed by Producer & DJ Aæe to bridge the gap between Brazilian & UK music culture.
With the ever growing interest in Brazilian music in the UK, PDR aims to shine a light on the amazing music of Brazil. From Bossa Nova to Samba, Maracatu to Batucada, Baile funk to Electro, Techno & everything in-between played alongside the sounds of the UK underground.
For the first show we invite São Paulo-Based superstar, Th4ys. DJ Th4ys was born and raised in the favela da minhoca, located in the south zone of São Paulo, (Grajaú region) and attends the main funk parties in the city. For Th4ys, the funk beat is a celebration of collectivity and a healing movement for the quebradas. the one that makes the crowd dance the night away, making the audience feel the bass of mandelão and all the other musical strands of funk PAULISTA AND CARIOCA.
Also joining us is Bristol-Based São Paulo-Born, Tainá. A resident of Bristols Void Radio, Tainá has been representing Brazil in full force with her shows and DJ sets.
