Nova Scotia is a Cardiff based shoegaze-grunge inspired alternative band. Formed in 2022, Ophelia (Vocals), Conor (Guitar), Libby (Drums), Jack (Guitar), and Cody (Bass) attended university together and quickly found common influences such as slowdive, Deftones, Basement and Paramore.
Their debut single “Wire Mother” was released independently and has had radio plays on shows such as Adam Walton’s BBC show and was described as “…I love the fact that it sounds like slowdive and Deftones… …Brilliant!”. Their second single recently released, “Pretty Lies” further expands on the artist’s sound, with a hooky chorus, fast drums, and delicate ambient soundscapes.
