Alpaca Presents | Tokyo Toy Company + Support at Crofters Rights
See event details

A gig held at Crofters Rights on Sunday 1st October. The event starts at 19:00.

Tokyo toy Company, an Alt Math quintet who formed in Bristol.

Starting the band in 2021 after meeting at university, we all shared a love for music, despite the difference in tastes, and a love for the bevvies. We love to take a very original stance on a weird mathy, pop punk, mid west sound

Founding members Alfie(Drummer) and Ryan(Guitarist) came from the dark lands of coventry and left (rightfully so) to come to Bristol, where Ryan and Connor(Guitarist) spent their first 2 years living together (burn piss house). Early into first year , through house parties thrown by Rhys(Singer) Tokyo found our tyrant and later after a change of bassists, we added our newest member Kieran and we have felt more complete than ever.

Laguna Goons

A group of mates living up to the bill of starving artists.
We spend our weeks earning our rent teaching English at local
schools and our weekends punking out at whatever show we can find.
With loud melodic guitar riffs, distorted bass lines and in your face
drum rhythms we try and get people moving and if not will happily
punk out on our own. We enjoy what we do, the only downside is the
hangover on Monday, trying to drill in grammar rules to kids that
couldn't care less about speaking English.. instead trying to turn them
on to the Beatles or the Stones.

Versus Savannah | A mix of morning heartache with a dash of familial disappointment, Versus Savannah draws on their real life experiences to connect with audiences.

Since reforming, the band have focused on curating their music and making it unique to their own liking. By taking inspiration from bands like Blink-182, PUP, and even Adele, Versus Savannah has designed music they hope listeners can resonate with and enjoy.

Con began writing music after changing career paths from professional ballet to songwriting and performing. Con’s music is best described as funky, feel-good and heartfelt. The lyrics are written from personal experiences and a desire to use her voice to spread awareness about queer experiences as well as to connect with as wide a range of audience as possible. With a dynamic, unified and talented group of musicians, the music should give you an adrenaline rush, an urge to get up and dance and a new relatable artist to follow on an exciting journey. Con blends her love of funk, jazz and folk with a vocal versatility that lifts her music and gives her sound a distinct soulful vulnerability. Con and her band will keep you on your toes throughout the whole set
