Sancho Panza / Rainyday Rainbow / Lorcan at Crofters Rights
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"A three-headed Extra Terrestrial hydra approaches, bringing forth the psych-out jams we’ve come to rely on them for. Special mention goes to Rainyday Rainbow from over the (Bristol) pond - for their fearless melding of Frank Zappa, egg-punk, Ty Segall and Amon Düül II .... into pure insanity. Must see."

A gig held at Crofters Rights on Thursday 22nd February. The event starts at 19:30.

Extra Terrestrial Promotions & Velvet Echoes are delighted to welcome Nottingham's sleezy, psychedelic and super funkin cool Sancho Panza to the crofters rights. Head on down for an evening of inevitable boogie, with support from Welsh psychonauts Rainyday Rainbow and Bristol's very own ambient day-dreamer Lorcan.

Sancho Panza

Sancho Panza are a 5 piece Indie band hailing from Nottingham UK. The band have been cited as “the coolest guys in the city” by one of Nottingham’s most loved music venues, Rough Trade. Having sold out various Nottingham stages such as the Bodega and Rescue Rooms, and setting records for bar sales at their Rough Trade showcase, the bands increasingly large crowds are a testament to their growing cult following amongst the Midlands.

Rainyday Rainbow

Rainyday Rainbow is a radtastic band containing the talons of Egg Spectrum, Tom Emlyn, Evan Collett, and Osian Boland. Featuring twisty turny thought juice, smothered in smashed up slithers of Psychedelic sauce, and pezazzed with punchy Punk doom. If you’re familiar with acid jams from the 60’s such as Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead, or mega mammoths such as King Gizzard, The Melvins and Ty Segall, or even graciously glam sounds such as Ziggy era Bowie… Imagine that but slotted together like a jigsaw puzzle made out of tree pines and then glued together by someone under the influence of mescaline; you now have something similar to Rainyday Rainbow!

Lorcan

Lorcan's music traverses the space between dream pop, ambient & indie rock. His songs are worlds of contrast, with mellow baritone vocals against crunching drum machines and crisp, ethereal synths twinkling over jangling vibrato guitar. Lorcan's music captures the transience of lived experience, celebrating both the mundane and dreamlike aspects of life.
