As part of Independent Venue Week, we have assembled a night of quality hip-hop to bring some positive energy into your ears.
We welcome, from Manchester - Jungle Brown - the trio of MaEar, Ric Flo & Tony Bones. With an approach that feels both fresh and modern yet rooted in classic 90's East Coast boom-bap hip-hop like A Tribe Called Quest and The Pharcyde, this is music for the soul, the head and the feet. No OTT gangsta talk, just positivity and stories of modern life lived.
Their latest album 'Full Circle' released in September through Brighton's legendary Mr Bongo label, featured some top notch guest slots from Sampa The Great, Fliptrix & Terri Walker. A smooth listen from start to finish this is the work of a group who deserve to go far.
The Caravan Collective are Bristol based group consisting of producer Boyce, and Emcee’s: MR CIA, Daysa, and Steezy D. Proper Hip Hop Heads expressing their taste through a neatly assembled blend of Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Golden era inspired Boom-Bap. Formed in 2017, they immediately started cooking up beats and jamming in Hardwick’s caravan to brew their heady concoction of potent hiphop beats and rhymes.

Daytripper (beats in the bar); Blending choppy hip-hop with dark British sensibilities, Daytripper has created a unique sound which comes from his dedication to the craft of hip-hop. Daytripper uses vinyl based hip-hop craftsmanship to deliver a psychedelic exploration and channel his own existential angst felt in the crowded house of a disposable age!
