A
clubnight
held at Crofters Rights
on Tuesday 10th December. The event starts at 22:00.
Having been at the helm of Distilled's party series over the last two years, the time has come explore the range of influences that have contributed to the Distilled sound.
First up: The Welsh production wizard, Harrison BDP, in Crofters.
//////////////
Harrison BDP is up there with the finest of up and coming House artists, and is no doubt being recognised for his pedigree given the latest steady stream of worldwide bookings he seems to be acquiring. We most often see him with his German accomplice Adryiano who remarks that, when touring alone, ' ’ , - ', so great is his presence on and off the decks. On a more serious note, he's found himself sharing the billing with the likes of Nightmares on Wax, Young Marco or Move D in more recent times - not too shabby - bringing along a record bag that is pleasingly varied and always groovey.
It is the mark of a great producer that he can pump out tracks which consistently achieve something, whether technically or musically, and the praise he receives is founded mainly on that ability. Many a soul digging for late-night jams come across Harrison BDP's work and may remark instantly, " , ?" or ", ". While this sort of rhetoric is unlikely to make its way into an RA review, it's certainly how many feel whenever listening to his stuff. It prompts you to listen without feeling obliged to pass judgment, which is the kind of quality reserved only for true greats. Perhaps he's one in the making...
Whatever the case, it's a pleasure taking over Crofters with this man, and to begin this new journey on such a strong note.
