Jakabol + Essential Formulas at Crofters Rights
See event details

A gig held at Crofters Rights on Wednesday 1st May. The event starts at 20:00.

JAKABOL

Fusing world folk influences with progressive textures and explosive riffs, Jakabol are an experimental music group from Bristol. They forge genre-bending, kaleidoscopic music inspired by the cinematic energy of bands like Mahavishnu Orchestra and psych revivalists King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

"Totally breathtaking" - At The Barrier on debut album Jaded Temple
"Bucolic one minute, psychotic the next" - The Guardian

For fans of: Mahavishnu Orchestra, King Gizzard, Black Sabbath, Portico Quartet, and other experimental, genre-defying musical experiences.

ESSENTIAL FORMULAS

Standing on eight feet at the quadrapoint where post, math, prog and noise rock intersect, Essential Formulas weave catchy riffs, shifting time signatures and droning atmospherics into a (mostly) wordless semi-narrative that even they do not fully understand.

For fans of: Mogwai, early ASIWYFA, Baroness, Slint

Tickets: £5 Early Bird / £6 General Release / £7 OTD

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
