LUSSURIA is an ambient industrial project led by Jim Mroz. Active since 2007, the music of Lussuria shows a multitude of ways to build moods and evoke states of anxiety and threat. Most of the music is created by means of building intricate multi-layered forms and loops, an experimental collage of elements from various origins. In Lussuria, you can hear a multitude of sources, such as metallic textures, slow power drone structures, and trance rhythms. The atmosphere created can be contemplative, uplifting, and ethereal, as well as crude and direct.
Through several albums and releases on Hospital Productions and compilation appearances on labels such as LIES, Pole Group, and Self Abuse. Additionally, Jim has also been a contributor to acclaimed Prurient albums Rainbow Mirror and Frozen Niagara Falls (Profound Lore)
To date, Lussuria has performed at noted events and venues such as Berghain (Germany), Rewire Festival (Holland), Wroclaw Industrial Festival (Poland), Nitsa (Spain), CDMX Earthquake Fundraiser (Mexico), and the 20th anniversary of Hospital Productions in Brooklyn and Los Angeles (USA).
From the wild hedgerows and deep dark rivers of the Midlands, Leicestershire's COLOSSLOTH makes psychogeographic maladies and invocations to warm the heart of the discerning and intrepid psychonaut. Phonic seeds planted in Blackened soil fertilised by visceral imagination. A fugitive ambience for those seeking solace in the unexpected.
Aside from sharing the stage with the likes of Pop Will Eat Itself, FRET (Mick Harris), Jarboe, Discharge, Acid Mothers Temple, Tim Hecker, Damo Suzuki, Terminal Gods, Bong, and Zoviet France, Colossloth's music alternates between the brooding and abrasive to the transcendental and enchanted. With nods to a multitude of genres - from industrial and ethnic tribalism to the bastard ghosts of rave, it's spirit can be found crucified in between the anode and cathode of occult circuitry, transmitting across modern England whispered messages from the lips of the old gods of Albion.
Bristol-based TOMMY CREEP, editor of Black Panels Only Eurorack Zine, Tommy makes bleak soundscapes using modular synthesis. The music explores occult themes through drones and organic textures devolving into cathartic noise passages. Tommy will be joined by TRAUERARBEIT (guitar, Dead Space Chamber Music) who utilises a combination of live guitar and samples, to create a doom-laden mix of dark ambient and industrial and eerie psychedelic sounds.
