UK premier screening of"Newport Effect"documentary. Infamous as the place where Bob Dylan'went electric' in 1965, The Newport Folk Festival was a stalwart among folk music-lovers ever since its inception in 1959. This film, narrated by Joan Armatrading celebrates the history and legacy of this seminal event, with performances and discussions including Joan Baez, Judy Collins, the Indigo Girls and the late Pete Seeger.
Following the film there will be a performance from Hot Feet, who will bring their delta blues, sixties electro folk and world rhythms to the stage.
