Kertecz#13 will be the launch of our second publication ‘Three-Legged Dog Poems’ featuring recent poems by the North American poet John Dorsey. The event will be taking place at D-Unit Studios, Durnford Street, Ashton Gate, BS3 2AW.
Three-Legged Dog Poems includes a foreword by poet and editor of Kertecz Press, Mark Anthony Pearce, a full bibliography of Dorsey's output to date, and an exclusive cover design by artist Seth Guy.

John Dorsey:

John Dorsey has been publishing in the UK for more than two decades with early beginnings in the late James Quinton’s 'Open Wide Magazine'. His book "Sodomy is a City in New Jersey" was later released on Grievous Jones Press in Wales in 2010, followed by "7 for Jori" and "Being the Fire," Tangerine Press, 2016, "Godless Animals" on Analog Submission Press, 2018, "Dying like Dogs," Tangerine Press, 2018, "The Afterlife of the Party: New And Selected Poems," Ragged Lion Press, 2019, "Farewell Tour," Tangerine Press, 2024, and "Pie First," Third Man Books, Literarium Editions, London, 2024.

Gwil James Thomas:

Gwil James Thomas is a poet, novelist and inept musician. He lives in his home town of Bristol, England, but has also lived in London, Brighton and Spain. His poetry can be found widely in both print and online. His fifteenth chapbook of poetry, Love is a Burning Church, Cleansed by Welcomed Rain is forthcoming from Clair Obscur Zine. He is part English, part Welsh and part wolf.

Jason Shelley:

Jason Shelley, born 1970 by the Thames Estuary near Southend-in-sea, is a writer, notably a poet, who lives in London, UK. His writing draws on notions of the abstract, absurd, realist and post-punk, his collections referred to as mundane and impactful. Author of No Looking Back, Grey Love and The Romance an episode in the life of a young writer


Mark Anthony Pearce:

Mark Anthony Pearce lives and works as a receptionist in Bristol, South West England. He is an author of ten books of poetry, most recently I Am A Man, Harold Norse (January 2024-Between Shadows Press). His poems have appeared in over twenty-two journals online and in print. He is the publisher and editor of Kertecz Press.

Seth Guy:

Seth Guy is an artist living and working in London, England. Often collaborating and devising projects of a participatory and experiential nature, Seth makes both sonic art and visual art - sound compositions, performance, and collage - work which is often humorous, and occasionally disquieting. His work is held in private and public
