on Thursday 26th May. The event starts at 18:00.
Opening night for the exhibition Hypermaterial by Ben Hartley on Thursday 26th May, featuring a ritual performance made in collaboration with London-based performance artist Angel Dust (@rebelliuschaperone) and theatre-maker Carter Hawkins (@cart3rsworld). The exhibition continues 27th to 29th May.
Hypermaterial is the first solo exhibition by Bristol-based artist and material forager Ben Hartley. Hypermaterial sees Ben’s work with building a sustainable, low-impact method of artmaking, The Circular Practice, joined with their work with speculative fiction, to produce sculptural works that question material culture and commodification in contemporary art and wider society, transporting the visitor into the distant future world that has been created.
