Watch yer bassbins I’m tellin’ ya! For Set It Out’s latest all-night shindig at Dare To, we’re proud to present a sub-heavy rave-up of epic proportions, as the team behind the forthcoming book Join The Future: Bleep Techno and The Birth of British Bass Music step up to the decks for the very first time.

Headlining the event will be Optimo’s JD TWITCH, who has written the foreword to the book and has been an enthusiastic supporter of bass-heavy, bleep-sporting techno from the formative years of his DJ career in the late 1980s. The Glasgow-based DJ, producer and label owner will be playing a special extended set joining the dots between original Bleep and Bass classics and past, present and future music – dancehall, digital dub, UK bass, garage, hardcore, bleep and breaks, jacking house, Motor City techno and more – that ticks the same sonic boxes. Don’t miss this chance to see one of the UK’s most diverse ad talented DJs raving it up in an intimate venue!

Supporting Twitch in the main room will be Join The Future author MATT ANNISS, plus former City Bass Cardiff resident DJ HEPPLE and shadowy member of the TR13E and Noods Radio resident SPICE ROUTE. Expect the unexpected!

Downstairs in the basement, SET IT OUT will be offering up more soulful flavours and goodtime grooves. Headlining the room will be noted crate-digger and sensational re-editor GREG BELSON. The NYC Downlow regular is noted for the depth of his record collection and the quality of his superb gospel disco compilations on Cultures of Soul.

In support we have Bozak main man PAUL MORRISSEY, a superb DJ who has been doing his thing in Bristol for decades. For Set It Off, he’ll be dipping into his jazz-funk collection to offer up a set paying tribute to one of the most popular and vital sounds of the 1970s and ‘80s.. Completing the line-up is Set It Out main man GEORGE OSCAR.

We expect tickets to fly out for this one, so get over to Headfirst ASAP. This will be a proper all-night blow out in an intimate sweatbox… a party not to be missed!
