The Makings are a Bristol-based alt-rock outfit, with overtones as diverse as jazz and blues, but rooted in soul and pop. With a raw, contemporary edge, brought to life by an evolving portfolio of unique compositions, The Makings offer big, brash sounds that bring something different to the Bristol music scene and beyond.
Pushing boundaries rather than being confined by them, their deep-groove sound coalesces around jazz-tinged shuffles, bluesy guitar riffs and harmonious vocal stylings, all locked together by a fluid yet rock-solid rhythm section.
