Bristol based Hi5Ghost aka Yuseemi is one of the city’s brightest talents. A producer and sound design artist, his releases have garnered him a reputation for producing icy grime 3.0 riddims. In 2014 saw his first 12” release “Duppy Maker” with Trends asserting him as One To Watch. Following a string of releases on fellow Bristol labels Bandulu Records, Sector 7 and Cutcross Recordings run by Sicaria Sound, his productions are a must for any grime fans. With a special mention to the genre defiant “No Sleep” EP on Hotline Recordings featured a hypnotic stripped back techno remix from Peder Mannerfelt, further illustrating the crossover potential.

We’re thrilled to have him down to Dareshack on 4th April to share his tricks and tips as both a producer and sound artist.

For those new to CDR, the Session includes an in-depth, production focused interview where we'll go deep on his career and creative process. Then, after the interview, there will be a chance for any aspiring producers in the audience to have their work in progress tracks played on the club soundsystem.

Our events are for all music lovers, producers and non-producers alike. Anyone with an interest in music is welcome! For the producers attending, we run OpenCDR towards the end of each event where you can listen to your WIPs and receive feedback from the artist.
