A gig on Tuesday 30th July. The event starts at 19:00.

Prepare yourself to be immersed on a journey of mystic sounds and healing vibrations.

Venezuelan singer song/channeller Yhonet Garcia @yhonetcreative has been playing music in Bristol for the past ten years, recently performing in private events, festivals and plant medicine ceremonies. She has a collection of songs written in English and Spanish over the past few years where she shares her healing journey towards finding herself and how she has empowered her voice throughout the process. She also channels songs in the moment in the language of light making this a unique soothing and nurturing experience for those who listen. The light codes that she channels through lyrical improvisation go directly to your heart chakra, clear stagnant energy and offer a bridge for connection to the inner self and those around you. She carries rhythms that come from South America as well as influenced by Spanish and English pop culture.

She will be accompanied by Brazilian musician and composer Anderson Sena @aandersonsenaa who will be coming all the way from France to join forces with beautiful guitar arrangements, vocals and percussion. Coming from a family of musicians from the state of Bahia, Anderson intuitively developed his musical skills from a young age, and immersed himself in popular and traditional music from the Northeast, such as afro-samba, bossa-nova , samba de roda, forró, coco and carimbó. When they play together, their music comes alive with strong ancestral sounds from South America, beautifully weaving and creating alignment of masculine and feminine energies.

This is an incredible and exclusive opportunity to experience the embodied ancestry and healing energies of Venezuela and Brazil coming together to create music and celebrate community.

What is Medicine Music?
Originally, medicine songs were sung by indigenous traditions in plant medicine ceremonies to clear the way and open the channel to connect with the spiritual realm.
Nowadays, this has been extended to any musician that sings songs not only in ceremonial contexts but also carries the message of the medicine they have received, the message of Nature, the message of unity, love, gratitude, empowerment and healing. Music is medicine no matter the genre! But there's a commonality to medicine music and many medicine musicians carry on with traditional chants and ryhthms from their ancestors. The expansion of this genre has become popular outside of ceremonial contexts because of the healing frequency and messages that this music carries. It is music that clears stagnant energy, opens the heart, creates connection and brings healing.
If you haven't experienced this type of music before, this is the best opportunity to get initiated!
Looking forward to having you there with us ;)
