"Kicking off the fest with a live quadruple threat: DJ Python’s subaqueous reggaeton and textural ambience meets a highly-anticipated Bristol debut of expressionist Sufi poeticism from vocalist Abdullah Miniawy. Joined by sprawling avant-punk-dub from Coby Sey + band (aka Continue) and mary hurrell’s spectral sound art meditations."

A
gig
held at DOCUMENT
on Thursday 9th October. The event starts at 19:30.
THIS EVENT IS INCLUDED IN THE FESTIVAL PASS.
We begin at Document - our biggest space yet. . One room, one ceremony. Expansive sound, high-impact live works, and a programme that moves between the intimate, the poetic, and the overwhelming.
The night unfolds with deep, poetic and boundary-pushing live sets: DJ Python’s rare live performance blending “deep reggaeton” with ambient textures and emotive Latin rhythms; Abdullah Miniawy’s first Bristol appearance, fusing Sufi mysticism, spoken word and experimental protest; Coby Sey & Continue’s intimate, heavy live show spanning noise, dub, post-punk and jazz; and local experimentalist mary hurrell opening with patient, sculptural sound.
