After the craziness of the Empathy 10th Birthday in April, its back to our usual assault on Dojo with another fantastic special guest in Steve Parry, he's no stranger to Empathy, having played at the 9th Birthday last year he's a superb DJ with some awesome tracks in his box, he selects tracks on behalf many of the big jocks so will definitely have some exclusive's.

Alongside him is local producer Duncan Crane, producing as Nifty for Hope Recordings as well as Ulterior Motive, hes done some amazing remixes and tracks, he's one to watch that's for certain.

Steve Parry biography

After learning to do edits on his double tape player as a youngster, it wasn't long until at the age of 15 Steve was one of the hottest mobile disco DJ's in Liverpool. With the money he made, Steve was buying the latest underground Hip Hop, Soul and House tunes..and he was hooked!

At 18 he was playing in all the cool bars and clubs (given his first chance by Dave Ralph at the legendary Fallows), and soon progressed to playing alongside Garnier, Sasha, Seaman, Stu Allen & Nipper.

For years, Steve was learning his craft playing all around the UK, and gaining himself a solid reputation, including many residencies in his beloved home town of Liverpool. By the time he was in his mid 20's, Steve started a night called Alderaan, in a room above a pub (the infamous Lemon Lounge) and brought Howells, Burridge, Pappa, Zabeila, Parks & Wilson, Fortier, Slacker, Quivver, Cass, Moonface (all rising starts at the time) to come and play - after they had played, they all begged to return to play again.. and they all did... many times!

He moved into production and collaborated with Evolution to produce'Jawa', a tribal edged progressive belter that was heavily supported by Howells, Kleinenberg, Maas, Saeed & Palash, Pappa and the rest of the progressive mafia and it featured on 4 compilation CDs. Steve is back in the studio working on several productions, nearing completion in the not too distant future.

For 10 years Steve was manager of the world famous 3 Beat Records in Liverpool, with its vast mail order department. 3 Beat serviced the world's premierDJ's from Digweed, Sasha, Jules, Tong, Warren, Maas, Seaman, Oakenfold, Pappa& Howells & to Sneak and Graeme Park. Steve liased with the DJ's to help them find those'special tunes' to the DJ's on top of their game, plus also was label manager at 3 Beat Digital.

He also runs his company SMP3 Music Management - sourcing music weekly for Superstart DJs including Timo Maas, Darren Emerson, Dave Seaman, Behrouz and Chris Lake whilst setting up a promo mail out company and a sub-publishing company, things are busy in steves life!

Nowdays, with such legendary gigs under his belt as Cream, Creamfields and The Warehouse Project - Steve has been part of Juice FM for the last 5 years hosting a weekly radio show called'The Red Zone'.

Steve plays his hottest upfront tunes, and features the Worlds premier league DJ's as guests. You name them, they've been on his show!

Back in the studio in 2011.
