Blue Mondays presents: Dance in a day at Easton Community Centre

A event on Saturday 2nd September. The event starts at 14:00.

LEARN TO DANCE IN A DAY!

Have you always wanted to be able to grab a partner and have an amazing dance? Let us show you how! Blue Mondays presents a beginner level blues dancing workshop, followed by an evening social dance! This event is for you if...

- you've never danced blues before (or danced at all!) and you're curious to see what it's all about
- you've tried blues once or twice and want to get a solid foundation in the basics of blues dance
- you're an experienced blues dancer and want to revisit your fundamentals

Between 2pm and 7pm, we'll dive into the basics of blues dancing in four workshops, and then take a break for dinner. From 8pm to 9.30pm, our DJ will spin some tunes for social dancing - a great chance to practice everything you learnt in the workshops, and to get to know the Blue Mondays community!

DETAILS

We'll be in the main hall at Easton Community Centre.

The workshops will start at 2pm - feel free to arrive a few minutes early to get settled in and say hello.

We'll take short breaks between workshops for drinks/snacks/resting those dancing feet. Please bring your own refreshments.

BLUE MONDAYS

We're a community of dancers in Bristol who meet every Monday for a blues dance class followed by a couple of hours of social dancing. Blues is a great way to get into partner dancing - with a gentle learning curve and degendered teaching, we make sure there is space for everyone. With a focus on connection and improvisation over very complex sequences of steps, we guarantee that by the end of your first session you'll be grooving to some great tunes on the social floor!

PAY WHAT YOU CAN

We want everyone to be able to come and dance with us, regardless of finances. That's why we run on a full sliding scale. Feeling flush? Chip in a little extra. Skint? Cool, come dance with us anyway - we have low income and pay-what-you-can options available, with no minimum.
