See event details

A event on Sunday 24th May. The event starts at 12:30.

This event is tickets only!

Join Desi Roots Collective (DRC) for an afternoon "Chaand Raat" as we celebrate Eid Ul Adha together at our Eid Family Event!

Sunday 24th May between 12.30pm - 3.30pm.

Bring the whole family along for a fun-filled celebration featuring:

- Arts & Crafts
- Mehndi
- Community Stalls
- Storytelling
- Food and Desserts!

Chaand Raat Translates to the "Night of the Moon" where the new moon is sighted determining Eid. Families and friends traditionally come together to prepare for the celebrations, by decorating, shopping, applying mehndi, eating good food and spending time with loved ones. It is a joyful tradition in many communities that we want to embrace with you!

Come together to celebrate the spirit of Eid Ul Adha with friends, families, and the local community in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Everyone is welcome - reinforcing our community led mission of reigniting children's understanding of their roots and embracing mixed heritage connections.

Traditional clothing is absolutely encouraged!

Love, Desi Roots Collective.
