'Immersive, energetic and bold'. - Filmmaker Magazine
Afrika Eye Festival and East Bristol Cinema presents...Freedom Fields - an inspiring documentary from Libyan filmmaker Naziha Arebi.
FREEDOM FIELDS follows three women and their football team in post-revolution Libya, as the country descends into civil war and the utopian hopes of the Arab Spring begin to fade.
Through football, social change and female solidarity the film explores the team's personal stories of love and aspiration colliding with the countries turbulent history.
A love letter to sisterhood and the power of 'team' - This screening is in celebration of the Easton Cowgirls Football team - who will join us for a post film chat about the local Cowgirls football team and their experience of playing football in Palestine.
