A Mindful Photography Walk with Celie Nigoumi at Eastville Park, Bristol

A event on Wednesday 19th August. The event starts at 17:00.

You don’t need to become a better photographer - you just need to notice more.

Join photographer Celie for a relaxed, guided photowalk designed to help you slow down, observe your surroundings, and reconnect with the process of taking photos.

This isn’t about perfect images or technical mastery. It’s about being present, enjoying the moment, and exploring photography in a more mindful, intuitive way.

Whether you’re using your phone, a new camera, or something that’s been sitting on the shelf for years, this session will help you build confidence and start seeing things differently.

What to expect:

• A gentle introduction and chance to meet the group
• A short grounding exercise to get into a calm, creative headspace
• A guided walk with prompts, observations, and live examples
• Simple guidance on light, composition, and using your camera
• Playful exercises to encourage experimentation
• Time to ask questions and learn as you go
• A relaxed group reflection to share photos and experiences

You’ll learn how to notice colour, texture, light, and shape - and how to translate that into images that feel considered and personal.

How the session will run:

• ~1.5 hours walking and taking photos together
• 20–30 minutes of group reflection and discussion
• Option to head to the pub or enjoy a few drinks in the park afterwards

This session is for you if:

• You want to slow down and be more intentional
• You’re looking to reconnect with creativity
• You enjoy photography but feel stuck or unsure
• You want to get more out of your phone or camera
