1.30 TREE FOLK GATHER
Welcome, Open and Create an Altar

2pm TREE DRAWING with Wind & Easel

Bring your journal/ sketchbook and any mediums you wish to create with. We are all artists! Let’s capture the Oak in all their glory. Led by Wind and Easel, a social drawing group visiting green spaces across and nearby Bristol.

3pm SINGING CIRCLE with Tree Folk Sing

Root, ground and grow together in playful sound as we open up in song. Led by call and response, creating harmonies and a cauldron of sounds in an easy, accessible way. No singing experience necessary!

4pm ECSTATIC DANCE with DJ Oneflow (Ecstatic Beats)

We will dance to a specially curated multi-genre musical journey from DJ Oneflow, moving with the Oak tree and each other. We’ll use silent disco headsets to help us go deeper into the sound and connect to the land with an extra serving of bass, without disturbing the surrounding wildlife (and neighbours!).

From shimmering highs to hip-shaking drops to basslines that are downright dirty, Oneflow brings the best from the worlds of tribal house, disco, drum&bass/jungle, world bass and beyond, blended into vibrant dancefloor journeys under the banner of Ecstatic Beats - an ecstatic dance event with extra servings of bass. Inspired by Afro, Latin, tribal, rave, disco and underground sounds, his style unites the diverse world of bass-infused dance music with the sober dance space. A Oneflow DJ set is an invitation to dance free and embrace your wild nature.

5.30pm CLOSING CIRCLE

Join us Tree Folk as we gather together in celebration and reverence of the gentle giants who give us oh so much. May we remember them in every breath. May we listen deeply with good intent. May we sing, dance and play and hear their music in the silence. Let us create!

THE MIGHTY OAK

The location of this event (weather permitting - sun dances welcome!) is at THE mighty grand old Oak Tree in Eastville park. If you know, you know, if you don’t* - here’s a pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/tHfcjkyg7aXG8nNd8

RAIN OR SHINE
