Bird Spotting & Sketching at Eastville Park
Free tickets for all participants.

A event on Saturday 6th September. The event starts at 12:00.

Have you ever heard the coos in the morning, or a squawk in the sky, and wondered who it’s coming from? Have you seen a particularly interesting feather on the ground and wondered who it belongs to? Do you love to create? Well, this workshop could be for you!

Join us on September 6th for a creative community bird-watching and art-making walk in Eastville Park.

The aim of this workshop is for community members to learn about bird identification, practice life drawing techniques, and to share their love or curiosities about birds with one another. This space will be held by Hio Oamil— a young bird enthusiast, artist, and member of the Bristol Tree Craft community.

All are welcome! No need to have previous experience with bird identification, or to feel confident with drawing practice. The focus is on the process, not the end product. It's all about trying something new— noticing how this practice can shift or deepen our connection to birds and the natural world.

The workshop will run for approximately three hours, with a short break in the middle. We will provide paper, charcoal, and pencils but please feel free to bring your own preferred materials and/or sketchbooks. Please bring binoculars if you own a pair, however this is not required and we will have a few pairs available for use.

Spaces are limited, so please only book a ticket if you will be able to attend the workshop. Further details, including the exact meeting location will be shared over email following booking.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
