Electric Bristol

Student party mecca turned heavyweight live music venue

SWX is now Electric Bristol, joining sister venues Electric Brixton and NX Newcastle as part of the Electric Group.

Electric Bristol is a massive live music and club venue on Nelson Street in the city centre, in close proximity to The Lanes and Strange Brew.

After lockdown, the venue introduced live music to its revitalised programme. Since then it’s hosted international touring acts such as Magdalena Bay, Waxahatchee, Mobb Deep and Kneecap, and joined forces with local festivals Ritual Union and Dot to Dot as a host venue. Club nights are still a feature, with drum and bass, jungle, and techno on regular rotation.

The building has a 1800 person capacity and is multi-storey. Lift access is available but needs to be prearranged with the venue ahead of time. Carers passes are available. Further access information can be found on the Electric Bristol website: https://electricbristol.com/faqs
