Souma Records, a label founded by Fred Kramer devoted to reissuing rare Arabic music and unearthing global treasures. The labels name is a tribute to Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum, releases include her works as well as many others such as the grooves of Hany Mehanna. Souma Records’ selections focus on the eclectic, danceable, and deeply soulful to form a celebration of the usually overlooked musical world.
