Grey FLX is the collective of Logan Powles, a musician/producer from Swansea, Wales. Based now in Bristol and playing in the art-rock/indescribable scene, having been part of the UK grassroots circuit since 2020. Logan’s songwriting has connected with a large chunk of the south-waelian scene, beginning with his 2020 EP release “The Emotions of The Twang”. Since then, Logan has continued to build on his sound, reaching into more aggressive and abrasive tones while keeping elements of those indie routes at heart. After a steady and sweaty schedule of single releases over the past few years, radio play across BBC Wales/England, alongside countless shows in grassroots venues all across the UK supporting artists such as Maruja, Pigsx7, Divorce and Fat Dog; Grey FLX has developed into a sound with a soul that you can’t quite pin down, but you can’t get away from either. As a live group, Logan and his fellow band mates have contributed a lot to the scene since they first began, such as in 2024 when they helped raise £10k for Music Venue Trust at Swansea Arena’s house party. Since then, and the band’s recent move to England, Grey FLX have gone to quickly establish themselves in the Bristol scene, Headlining the Croft and The Exchange under Music Venue Properties. After a successful Fundraiser for Palestinian aid, the group now have a real energy in the city to them, simply waiting to burst. With a sound that blends beauty and brutality, while remaining obnoxiously tight, it’s no wonder why the act have been heralded by Headfirst, BBC Radio 1 and CLASH magazine as one grassroots show you truly can’t miss; transcending the sound of anything to grace the scene while holding their influences to their heart.
Notable live supports: Maruja, Opus Kink, Fat Dog, Divorce, SPRINTS, SNAYX, Pigsx7, KEG Radio plays: BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio Wales, Welsh Connections
