Realist welcomes to Bristol Double Take Records - avant-hardcore mavericks & post-club savants from London's bountiful underground of dancefloor experimentalism - for a night of sonic extremity with a sensibility for hardcore techno and the wider continuum of electronic dance music.
optionlist - coming off July's seismic EP Mystery of Flesh, Double Take founder optionlist brings their startling style of DJing to Bristol. Equally adept mixing cacophonous drone, amorphous breaks, deconstructed club and all manner of abraded techno, List is a multihyphenate talent and phenom. Having played fabled venues from MOT to White Hotel and for pioneering club nights like Trauma Unit and Syphen, List's is a Bristol debut long-awaited and not to miss.
novasdemise - determinant of the 'avant-hardcore' descriptor, novasdemise has one of the purer, more futuristic ears in club culture right now. Combing science-fiction, video games, horror and the hinterlands of hardcore music for constant innovation, ND's sound as both DJ and producer is metallic and forward-thinking. Having played across staple UK venues from The Cause to Corsica to White Hotel, alongside collectives like Hypoxia and KomaVictim, Realist presents the Bristol debut of one of Europe's quiet titans of boundary-annihilating club music.
vorem ipsum - a vorem ipsum track transforms within itself, never settling. As a producer, vorem ipsum incorporates everything from hardstyle, trance, EDM and deconstructed club, with a keen sensibility and affinity for the soaring capacities of pop music. As a DJ, their sets tend to be alike, multifarious, generically omnivorous, amalgamating everything from trap, breaks and hardcore in the same breath. vorem ipsum sets are equally ectstatic and caustic, it'll be a pleasure to witness them shred Exchange to the foundations.
