So Excited for our first party back in Bristol since Summer Camp.
FIRSTLY: This is more for PLU first-timers but to reiterate…
We are primarily an LGBTQ+ party but welcome with open arms and legs allies who have a thorough understanding of the queer community and desire to move beyond the daily constraints and status quo placed on our minds and bodies.
Please remember: WE EMBRACE AND CELEBRATE people of all genders, races, abilities, and sexuality at our parties. This is not a tick the box statement...this is for REALS!!
Please remember and be conscious that you may have privileges that some of your PLU famalam may not be able to enjoy on a day-to-day basis and have to choose where they go to dance very carefully...show nothing but kindness, love and respect please.
Our Special Guest:
ISAbella is co-founder of Barcelona fem/gender queer party AND techno, 90s rave, house, electro, Italo, bleep, cum, sweat, blood and tears, gender fluid record label MARICAS!
AND we can’t quite believe we are saying this to you…..we are trying again - last time in April we had Isabella booked but the Visa didn't come in time - so we go again with Visa in place :)
A closer look at our very special guest:
Born in Cali, Colombia. She grew up around her father ́s extensive collection of salsa records, but only discovered her love for mixing vinyl’s upon moving to Barcelona.
In her past 8 years as a DJ, ISAbella has earned herself a place in the scene, by being the mastermind behind two of the most interesting projects in the city.
She is the co-founder of MARICAS, an LGBTQ+ collective/nightclub in Barcelona, that has earned worldwide recognition in less than two years. With MARICAS she also hosted a 7-month long residency for Crack Magazine, and during the quarantine was invited to participate in the streaming from isolation series of Boiler room. She is also the founder of Mistress, a multi-functional art platform that focuses on emerging talent.
She recently co-founded a new record label MARICAS Records, and the first EP Audio Exotica is her first foray as a producer. Her playful, yet powerful sets-reminiscent of old-school rave, have earned her a place in the cabin next to Eris Drew, Or:la, Francesco del Garda, Prosumer, Sonja Moonear, among many.
With the amazing Soundsystem at the Exchange, Jaye & Ranks on support and you fuckin PLUer BEAUTS this is going to be nothing else than REALLY SPECIAL!!
We will also be using our friends at PHAT Bristol Security to provide us with some fully trained queer door folk.
As per....Tories, TERFS AND Royalists not welcome!
