Y • www.instagram.com/_y_y_why_y_y
Emerging from London’s underground, Y are a band built on friction. Formed in 2023 by Adam Brennan and Sophie Coppin, they channel punk instinct into something raw, unpredictable and hard to pin down. Their music favours energy and risk over polish — songs twist, snap and surge with jagged rhythms and off-kilter hooks.
Their lineup reflects that tension: vocals shift between playful and confrontational, guitars skew unconventional, while sax and percussion push the sound into chaotic, danceable territory. Forged through relentless shows at The Windmill, their live sets feel more like collective release than performance.
After signing to SO Recordings & Hideous Mink, their 2025 debut EP cemented their reputation, with support slots alongside Fat Dog, Opus Kink and KEG. In 2026, Y continue to carve out their own lane — unpredictable, uncompromising and built for the moment.
THE SCUTTLERS • www.instagram.com/the_scuttlers
A four-piece art-rock band operating out of the DIY Bristol scene with a technical, frantic sound and surreal folk-style rambling lyrics. Their reputation has grown fast since their first gig in 2024 in the underground of music. They have made a mark on the scene playing hectic gigs with an unorthodox performance style across Bristol and are regular fixtures at the Windmill Brixton including a slot for IVW 2026. They’re lining up some new releases for this year.
"An inventive, unpredictable group who create enthralling art-rock musings. Their singer has the theatrics of a surreal comedian and the dance moves somewhere between Ian Curtis and David Byrne." - Pindrop zine
“energetic, eclectic Bristol name fusing art rock with jazzier and folkier elements” – The Windmill
