"Surrealistic, cosmic bedroom-pop taking cues from yacht rock, chill wave, disco, psych and YES tango in a kitchen-sink goofball cabaret that’s bursting at the seams with gonzo charm. Bold n bonkers new sounds FFO: Flaming Lips, Ariel Pink, HMLTD, Toro Y Moi, Panda Bear, Os Mutantes."

Alien Tango is Alberto García, a Spaniard living in London but whose antennas are directed to outer space, from where he receives emissions full of psychedelia, glam, hip-hop, oriental music and helium-infected vocals. Praised by the New York Times after his performance at SXSW in 2021 (he’s also performed at Primavera Sound or Benicàssim, among other prominent events) his musical mixture is as unpredictable as it is satisfying, with room for synthesizers, sitars, accordions and anime samples. All of which confirm this unorthodox multi-instrumentalist as one of the most peculiar and fascinating creators in the current London scene.

His TikTok profile, opened right before the pandemic, exploded very quickly, reaching over 4M views and 50k+ followers in the space of a few months.
His long-awaited debut album has just come out in May 2023.
