Soulful production meets live percussive rhythms in Mikardo's new live show alongside South Indian percussionist Bala, with support from DJs Jackson Worm and Donwella playing grooves from around the globe.
UK producer Mikardo + Indian percussionist Bala bring their debut collaborative show to the Exchange. A variety of influences converge in a high energy fusion of electronic production and live rhythms. With support from Bristol’s much loved Jackson Worm (Worm Disco) playing vinyl grooves from across Africa, Brazil and the Caribbean, and Donwella bringing her unique blend of global percussive & soulful cuts, this is gonna be a vibe.
As a wonderful addition, local movement artist Sachin Babbar will be painting the night with his live-motion drawing. Based on concepts and techniques from Japanese ink paintings, his work captures the intricate movements of dancers in a few brush strokes. See if you can spot yourself in his work on the night.
