A
gig
held at Exchange
on Saturday 5th October. The event starts at 19:00.
Punka are very excited to announce our first gig at the new Basement venue in the Exchange and it is also our first 14+ show!!
We have been asked many times if under 18s can come to our shows. Unfortunately due to licensing on some venues we haven't been able to set this up, until now! So if you are 14+ come along and enjoy one hell of a show!
**The venue has stipulated that any under 18s MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.**
We have 3 quite new and very cool bands for you in the form of Ragdolz, Nervous Rex and a very special headline performance from Miss Kill. At every Punka gig we have have a drag host to give you more info on the acts and keep up the flow of the show. We are very excited to have drag king Kurt Sovain as our host! :)
MISS KILL (headliner)
A two piece band made up of teenage sisters Alannah and Felicity Jackson. Their sound is huge and on stage chemistry is something else.
Nervous Rex
The UK's first Trans/Non binary, dinopunk band! Formed at Eat Up For Starters in 2018. Eat Up for Starters is a collective who help young people form bands and coach them.
Ragdolz
Ragdolz stitch together to play gut-punching riffs, haunting doll screams, and the story of our own heavy melodic darkness.
Kurt Sovain - Drag King
Kurt Sovain is a Bristol Drag King (performing as a make character). Kurt is one of the creators of the hugely successful Scritch Cabaret and also works with Bristol's notorious drag king collective, Brizzle Boyz.
Our Punka gigs are always inclusive, safe spaces for LGBT+ people, everyone is welcome as long as you are respectful, responsible, kind and caring. We work alongside Bristol Zero Tolerance and we will not put up with any kind of harassment, violence or intolerance. Anyone showing signs of disruptive or abusive behaviour will be ejected from the event and will not receive a refund, no one rewards shitty behaviour.
Our venue Exchange is a Community Interest Company focused on supporting a wide range of musical projects and creative endeavours. The gig will be in their brand new little intimate Basement gig venue.
